What is the Ubudu Precision Finding Tag and how does it work?
The Ubudu Precision Finding Tag is a powerful asset tracking solution designed for businesses. By using the Precision Finding Tag mobile app (iOS first and then Android), users can accurately determine the direction and distance (0.1m accuracy) of their assets and easily locate them by activating an audible buzzer and LED light on the Tag. The companion app alshow the position of the tag in AR. When used with Ubudu RTLS, the system can automatically locate assets anywhere on site, guiding users to the right zone before using the mobile app for precise direction and distance.
How is the Ubudu Precision Finding Tag different from Apple's AirTag?
While both products offer similar functionality, the Ubudu Precision Finding Tag is specifically tailored to business needs. There are no limits in terms of number of Tags that can be used and It offers an optional integration with the Ubudu RTLS for automatic asset location. Ubudu Precision Finding Tag is designed for use in various industries, providing a more robust solution for businesses looking to optimize asset tracking and management. Also the app offer a view in AR of the location of the tag and a 3D arrow that is very useful to determine the position of an asset in a rack for instance.
How long does the Tag battery last?
The Tag comes with a rechargeable LiPo battery with 850mAh capacity with an autonomy of up to 4 years. This depends of course on usage of led, buzzer and and uwb direction finding search. The tag is rechargeable via USB-C.
What Smartphones can I use with Ubudu Precision Finding Tags?
Any Smartphone that integrates UWB (UltraWideBand) and BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy) can be compatible with Ubudu Precision Finding Tag : any Apple iPhone 11 or newer with iOS 15 or above is compatible. For Android devices, recent Google Pixels already integrate UWB technology and more brands such as Samsung will release Smartphones with UWB.
We will therefore start by supporting iOS devices first before supporting Android devices.
