Ubudu Hybrid RTLS is a complete system that includes hardware, software and tools to track the real-time location of assets, create geofences and analyse operational flows.

Hardware
Ubudu hardware includes a wide range of Hybrid Tags, Anchors and Gateways with different form factors, technologies and features in order to address different customer needs in any type of environment. Ubudu RTLS is also compatible with Third-Party Hardware as it uses standard radio protocols (BLE, UWB, LoRa, Wi-Fi).
Tags
Small low-power transmitters attached to assets to be tracked with a battery autonomy of several years.
Anchors & Gateways
Fixed devices exchanging radio signals with tags and sending back data to the software on the server.

Software
Ubudu software computes real-time positions of tags and displays them on a map, triggers geofence alerts and records data to be accessed through an Analytics Dashboard for further insights.
Location Engine
Software to compute real-time positions based on data collected and to manage infrastructure.

Any physical object with a certain size can be tracked using Ubudu Hybrid RTLS. For example, you can track tools, equipment and machines in factories, or stretchers, beds and pumps in hospitals.
The different technical architectures proposed by Ubudu allows to find a suitable solution for all kinds of environments and use cases. Feel free to contact us in order to receive recommendation on which technical architecture to use based on your environment and use case.
Using UWB, the distance measurement between devices is of 10cm, and the positions of a tag is 30cm.
With BLE, the accuracy is between 2-5m depending on the environment.
Ubudu also leverages other sensors such as accelerometer to improve the accuracy of the positions calculated.
The update frequency is configurable and depends on the technology chosen. For example, with UWB, the positions can be updated every 100ms at best whereas with BLE, the positions can be updated every second at best.
To reduce battery consumption, Ubudu tags can have a different advertising frequency when in movement and when idle.
